Wednesday, 14th September to Tuesday, 20th September 'Wicked Stitchers' Wicked Stitchers is a textile group (Lesley Finney, Jean Hopkins, Mara Longley, and Sue Stroud) that meets fornightly. Using all forms of textiles, hand and machine embroidery, we meet to share and exchange ideas and skills.

There was an excellent entry of 39 exhibits for the Open Competition this year. Unfortunately, space constraints at the gallery meant that not all could be exhibited. The judges (Wendy Robinson, Lin Fletcher, and Lawrence Fletcher) have therefore spent a substantial amount of time poring over the entries to select 25 items for the exhibition. ‘Penny uses the forest and landscape as an inspiration and nourishment for her artwork, encompassing wood sculpture, printmaking, photography and painting.
