30 Oct -05 Nov – Works in paint, collages and framed prints of acrylic paintings
The works included in Around The Med In Mixed Media include recent paintings, prints of sold large paintings and recent collage work. Most of my work has been inspired by my journeys around the Mediterranean. I’m mostly interested in sculptural forms, lines and colour. I start with either working realistically outside or taking photographs. Then working on the image until it abstracts from the original. As I age and working in wilder landscapes becomes more difficult the paintings have become more realistic. And the subject matter sees absence, loss and the order of time ….
