25-31 March – Two years ago, a street photographer and a fluid artist met while both were taking their first steps into their artistic ventures. Despite working in very different disciplines, a creative connection formed — one rooted in encouragement, honesty, and mutual support. Having remained in close touch ever since, this exhibition marks the second year they have come together at the Fishslab Gallery. It offers a snapshot of growth, change, and artistic confidence gained over the last twelve months. Jane Burdett is a Kent-based artist inspired by the ever-changing colours and atmosphere of the East Kent coastline. Through layered pours and textured finishes, she creates dramatic seascapes that capture horizon lines, movement and light. Alongside these works, Jane also produces richly textured floral pieces, exploring colour, depth and organic form. Nicola Agnew is a Whitstable-based photographer whose interest lies in cinematic street and night photography. Each image feels like a film still from an imagined narrative, where atmosphere and light hint at stories unfolding just beyond the frame. Nicola enjoys blurring the line between reality and fiction. We invite you to visit, explore the work, and see how both artists have evolved.
